McFarlin Memorial Methodist Church

McFarlin Church was built in Norman, Oklahoma in 1923. The unique gothic architectural design has limestone walls, concrete shingle roofing materials and decorative stained glass windows.

H&A designed a new three story 40,000 sq. foot addition using the same exterior materials making a seamless transition between the new and original building. The new addition includes a central two story skylit fellowship hall surrounded by an education space overlooking the hall.

A multipurpose room with a commercial kitchen, a children’s nursery area for mothers day out and a large youth room were included in the design. The existing 4 story education building was renovated.
