Quail Creek Golf and Country Club
Howard and Associates designed the original 40,000 square foot facility. The client’s goal was to provide the ultimate in clubhouse facilities and services for private use. Today the clubhouse has grown to 70,000 sq. feet and Howard and Associates has continued providing architectural services for various expansions, remodeling and updating of the unique club design.
Natural building materials and colors are used throughout the building. Limestone flooring, stone walls, mirrors, wood trim detailing, wood ceilings and shelves are incorporated into the design. Large areas of glass create the feeling of bringing the outdoors into the heart of the building. A major design feature is the signature two story curved exterior glass wall surrounding the rotunda dining area with large interior planting beds overlooking the golf course. The design includes a central rotunda, main banquet dining, cocktail lounge, men’s grill, kitchen, reception, meeting rooms, golf shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, terrace dining room, entertainment rooms , and offices. Renovation and addition work includes a large second floor dining area incorporating greenhouse shaped glass walls and glass roof with views of the golf course.
A new outdoor amphitheater plaza for wedding and events, roof top dining areas, meeting rooms, tennis club house, new main entry and terraces were designed in current renovations and additions to the facility. Geometrically laid out angular interior and exterior walls were used to create a unique movement of building forms and spaces. The architecture schools of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State Universities tour the facility annually to see the timeless contemporary club house facility designed by Howard and Associates.
